Custom iron-on patches, embroidered to order
An iron-on patch has a heat-activated adhesive on the back, so you can attach it with a household iron instead of a needle and thread. Iron-on is a good fit for hats, jeans, canvas bags and cotton jackets. Send a logo, a sketch or a photo, and we digitize it by hand, stitch it, and send a free digital proof to approve before production starts. There is no minimum.

How to apply an iron-on patch
- Place the patch where you want it on clean, dry fabric.
- Cover it with a thin cloth and press with a hot iron for about 30 seconds.
- Flip the item over and press the back of the patch area for another 30 seconds.
- Let it cool, then check the edges. For extra hold on heavy items, add a few stitches around the edge.
Fabrics and size for iron-on patches
Iron-on works best on cotton, denim and canvas. It is not a good fit for fabrics that cannot take heat, or for stretchy, waterproof or textured materials. For those, choose Sew On backing instead. Sizes of 2.5 to 3 inches suit hats and pockets, 4 to 5 inches suit jeans and bags, and 7 to 12 inches suit jacket backs. For large patches or items that are washed often, we suggest sewing around the edge as well.
We make embroidered patches only, not PVC or woven patches. We do not sew or iron patches onto garments, but a local tailor or alterations shop can do it for you.

How do I put on an iron-on patch?
Place it on clean fabric, cover it with a thin cloth, and press with a hot iron for about 30 seconds on each side. Let it cool before wearing.
Will an iron-on patch survive washing?
It can, on suitable fabric, but items that are washed often hold better with a few stitches around the edge, or with Sew On backing.
What fabrics are not suitable?
Avoid heat-sensitive, stretchy, waterproof or heavily textured fabrics. Choose Sew On backing for those.
Can I order just one iron-on patch?
Yes. There is no minimum. Order one patch, or packs of 5, 10, 25 or 50 online. For more than 50, request a quote.
How long does it take?
You get a free digital proof first. Production takes 3 to 5 business days after you approve it.
