Velcro is a brand name. Our patches use Hook & Loop backing, the generic fastener, which is often called Velcro-style.
Custom Velcro patches, embroidered to order
Velcro-style patches have a hook side stitched on the back of the patch, and they stick to a matching loop panel. That means you can take a patch off and put another one on, without sewing every time. They are popular on plate carriers, bags, caps, vests and display panels. Send a logo, a sketch or a photo, and we digitize it by hand, stitch it, and send a free digital proof to approve before production starts. There is no minimum.

How hook and loop patches work
- The patch comes with the hook side on the back.
- Your gear needs a loop panel. Some bags, caps, vests and carriers already have one.
- If it does not, sew a loop panel onto the item with a straight stitch around its edge.
- Press the patch onto the panel. Peel it off to swap it for another patch.
Gear and size for Velcro patches
Sizes of 2.5 to 3 inches suit caps and small panels, 4 to 5 inches suit chest and shoulder panels, and 7 to 12 inches suit larger back panels. Make sure the loop panel is at least as big as the patch. If you want a patch to stay put permanently, choose Sew On instead. Hook & Loop is meant for patches you plan to change.
We make embroidered patches only, not PVC or woven patches. We do not sew loop panels or patches onto gear, but a local tailor or alterations shop can do it for you.

Custom Velcro patches: frequently asked questions
Do I need a loop panel?
Yes. The patch has the hook side, and the item needs a loop panel. Some gear already has one, and you can sew one onto other items.
Is Hook & Loop the same as Velcro?
Velcro is a brand name for hook-and-loop fasteners. Our patches use a hook-and-loop backing, often called Velcro-style.
Can I order just one Velcro patch?
Yes. There is no minimum. Order one patch, or packs of 5, 10, 25 or 50 online. For more than 50, request a quote.
Is Hook & Loop or Sew On better?
Hook & Loop is better if you want to swap patches. Sew On is better for a patch that should stay on permanently, and for items washed often.
How long does it take?
You get a free digital proof first. Production takes 3 to 5 business days after you approve it.
